Hilden Beer Festival this Friday!

Protex return to the stage this Friday with an appearance at the Hilden Brewery in Lisburn. The hour long set will feature tracks from the band's forthcoming album along with plenty of old favourites and is their only planned Northern Ireland show for the rest of the year. Then next month it's off to Dublin to play Fibber Magee's as special guests of The Membranes on 17th September, which promises to be a great night. European dates are being planned for late 2016 and with the album release imminent, the rest of the year looks like being as busy as ever.

Protex cancel March USA dates

Protex have had to cancel their USA March dates, which were due to be announced this week. The shows in New York, Philadelphia and at Austin's SXSW festival have been pulled for personal reasons. The statement in full is below. Sadly, as a result of personal circumstances, we've had to cancel our March USA shows. Sincere apologies to all our friends in the States and as always, a huge thanks to everyone (you know who you are) who helped put it all together. Ramones Tribute Night tonight!

Protex return to Belfast's Black Box tonight to play a set at the Ramones Tribute Night, along with The Groundlings, 3D Shark, Going Full Retard and Eighty Four. The show comes just two weeks after three great nights in Belfast, Dublin and Bangor when the band played with New York's Baby Shakes and promises to be another excellent night! Next up, Rome on 24th October!

Here's the news! Quite literally! Channel 4 news reader, Krishnan Guru-Murthy made it two out of two Protex London shows, enjoying the night's proceedings with friend and gig organiser Peter Barron. This time the band were joined by Spizzenergi and The Bad Things, and a great time was had by all. Next up, Lisburn, Dublin and Bangor in August!
