Recording starts on new Protex album
Next week Protex hit the studio to begin work on their new album, due for release in early 2016.
August Irish shows confirmed
Protex are confirmed to play the Hilden Beer festival in Lisburn, Northern Ireland on Friday 28th August 2015 and the Bello bar in Dublin on Saturday 29th! They'll be joined at both shows by New York's excellent Baby Shakes, with whom they played in New York and New Jersey earlier this year. More bands to be announced closer to the time.

Friends Reunited

Also on the bill at Hotel Vegas was the legendary publicist, BP Fallon, who worked with, among others, John Lennon and Led Zeppelin before teaming up with Protex in 1980. Now a solo recording artist, BP caught up with Aidan before his set on March 18th.
April 2015 update!
Protex are just back from the States and gearing up for shows in Sweden and Belfast. The band are currently writing their first new material in 35 years, with a release due later in 2015. We’ll keep you posted!
